Psychosocial therapy

Asking for help doesn't mean you're giving up. It means right that you refuse to give up

Psychosocial therapy

We all have a period of not so good in our skin, feel a bit insecure in a certain situation, we don't know very well what we want at some point in our lives or maybe you want to change something in your life but get stuck in it. These are just a few examples where a psychosocial therapist can be useful. Below are a number of examples where psychosocial therapy can be used:

Stress

Fatigue

Relationship and family problems

Grief and loss

Trouble with intimacy

Fear

Questions of life and meaning

Overstress and burn-out

Somberness and depression

Problems with emotions

Trauma derivatives

The problem of addiction

Self-image and self-confidence

What is Psychosocial therapy?

Marion completed the four-year psychosocial therapist training at the Academy of Integral Humanities in 2015. In the Netherlands psychosocial therapy is becoming increasingly known and that is good news! Because this therapeutic training offers a holistic approach unlike the GGZ. It looks much deeper than just the symptom and no synthetic, oppressive medication is prescribed. We take the time for you and pay attention to you as a whole; physical, mental, social, emotional and energetic.

Often the origin of a psychic imbalance lies in the past, stored in our subconscious. With the help of psychosocial therapy you can find the answers in yourself so that you can understand where the imbalance originally comes from. Usually they are tucked away pains (traumas) such as grief or anger. We've all developed survival mechanisms so we didn't have to feel certain injuries. The result can be, for example, perfectionism, which can result from your own having to prove or not being good enough. If you go on too long then this can lead to burn-out symptoms or extreme fatigue. Psychosocial therapy can teach you to better understand the signals of your body and to remove certain masks so that you get closer to your real natural self.

One unique concept

Psychosocial complaints are therefore often not isolated. If you don't deal with the roots, you may feel a little better, but you will continue to be confronted with uncomfortable sensations. Sometimes this is accompanied by physical complaints or sensations.

The imbalance is often not limited to the mental and emotional level.

At Nova Wageningen we have a unique concept because, where necessary, we work multidisciplinaryly. This means that we can also include our naturologist in the course of therapy. For example, if you have a lot of anger, it is often a signal that there is a stagnation in the liver and specific herbs can be used supportively.

But a multidisciplinary approach can also be adopted where, for example, there is a problem of addiction that is difficult to overcome. For example, a Kambo treatment can be a powerful intervention that detoxifies the body at a deep level, making it easier to release old, stuck, non-serving patterns.
